Job Description

Position Overview:Β 

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Flex Assistant or Associate Teacher to join our team, full- or part-time. The ideal candidate will support one or more of our four active classrooms (ages 6 months - 5 years old), as needed, to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for our students, driven by the mission of Little Peaks.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

● Provide care and supervision for students ages 6 months - 5 years old, ensuring their safety and well-being. ● Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and lessons based on the Center’s shared curriculum. ● Support children’s developmental needs through the mission-based focus on the arts, literacy, and the natural world. ● Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. ● Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. ● Assist with individual and group daily routines, including feeding, diapering, supervision, and other daily routines. ● Document children’s progress and communicate with the Lead Teacher.Β 

Qualifications

Qualifications:Β 

● High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework preferred. ● Previous experience working with early learners in a childcare setting preferred. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. ● Ability to lift up to 60 pounds as needed. ● Passion for early childhood education and child development.

  • Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
  • Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential (with credit-bearing certificate)
