Teaching children basic skills like colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and language
Providing activities for students to develop motor, and social skills.
Ensuring children are supervised and feel comfortable.
Providing age-appropriate activities like games, songs, and storytelling.
Responsibilities:
Foster a learning environment that stimulates child growth and development
Ensure a clean and healthy classroom atmosphere
Create and develop strong parent and child relationships
Maintain communication with parents
Complete student observations, assessments, and daily documentation.
Attend regularly scheduled professional development and staff training sessions
Ensure compliance with DOH regulations
Demonstrate knowledge of units of study/exploration standards and planning areas
Must be articulate, reliable, and possesses a professional demeanor
Qualifications:
18 years or older
Associate degree in early childhood education
1 - 2 years experience in a preschool classroom setting.
