We are seeking a Teacher Assistant to work in our group family daycare. In this role you will support the program in providing a nurturing and educational environment for a mixed-age group of 2yo to 5yo, assist with daily classroom activities, supervise children, maintain a safe space, and help implement our curriculum while working alongside our Team and under the guidance of the Directors.Â
Full-time and part-time available:
M-F: 8:30a-5pm orÂ
M-F: 8:30am-1pm orÂ
M-F: 1pm- 5pm
- bring joy and creativity to the classroom environment and children’s learning
- have a loving, gentle, supportive approach with children
- supervise children at all times to ensure their safety
- cultivate positive relationships with children, parents and Team
- prepare materials and space and help with activities
- communicate with families and provide feedback on children's progress
- prepare and serve meals and assist children with personal hygiene ie diaper changing/potty, handwashing
- perform housekeeping ie: wash dishes, sweep floor, clean table & chairs, sanitize/disinfect surfaces after activitiesÂ
- Child Development Associate credential preferred or willingness to start CDA program
- minimum of 2 years of experience caring for children under six years of age OR; 1 year of experience caring for children under 6 years of age plus 6 hours ECE trainingÂ
- be capable of providing safe and suitable care to children
- successfully complete fingerprinting and background check (we will provide how-to instructions)
- be able to take frequent walks, kneel, bend, squat or crawl, lift 30 lbs
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential (with credit-bearing certificate)

- 15 hours health and safety training to start (we will provide training)
- Pediatric & Adult CPR and First Aid training (complete on your own)
- current medical statement (we will provide the form for your doctor to complete)Â
- start fingerprinting and background check with the Department Of Health (we will provide assist you with this)
- provide 1 professional reference and 1 personal reference that are not relatives
