The professional working with young children advocates for appropriate practices within the early childhood field

Behaviors & Skills

Stays informed about current issues and exercises the right to make decisions within early care and education

Uses experiences and knowledge to inform and influence others about the needs of all young children, families, and the profession

Advocates for services and legislation for all young children and families, and the profession

Assumes an early childhood leadership role in the community

Contributes to the advocacy efforts of professional organizations (i.e., joining a committee, journal submissions, financial contributions, etc.)
