Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher with planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, including breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, tables, dishes, and eating utensils after meals.
  • Assist children during mealtimes by encouraging healthy eating habits and promoting independence.
  • Help with diapering, toileting, and other personal care needs as required.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff regarding children's daily activities and needs.
  • Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support classroom operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with young children is preferred.
  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is not required but is a plus.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
  • Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
