Mount Kisco Child Care Center is a non profit, NAEYC accredited Child Care Center, whose mission is to provide high quality care for every child in the community regardless of a family's ability to pay. We are seeking Full time Assistant teachers and Full-time floaters/substitutes who love children and want to be part of our MKCCC family.
We are seeking Assistant teachers who love children and want to be part of our MKCCC family. The Assistant Teacher supports the lead teacher in supervising children during afterschool hours, facilitating activities, and maintaining a safe, positive environment. Responsibilities include receiving students from buses, ensuring accurate sign-in, assisting with snack, homework time, and transitions, and providing appropriate supervision at all times. Hours are typically 3:00β6:00 p.m., MondayβFriday. Availability to work full days (8.5 hours) on days when the Bedford Central School District is closed is preferred.
Additional hours in our Early Morning Program (7-9 am) may also be available if interested.

An Afterschool Assistant Teacher should be reliable, patient, and nurturing, with a genuine interest in working with school-age children. Strong communication and teamwork skills are important, as the role involves collaborating with staff and interacting positively with students and families. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to safety, and able to create a supportive, engaging environment where children feel welcomed and respected. Flexibility, responsibility, and the ability to manage groups of children in a busy afterschool setting are also essential.
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
