We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Special Education Teacher to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in the power of early intervention, differentiated instruction, and relationship-based teaching. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of preschool development, experience with IEP development and implementation, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to preschool-age children with disabilities in an inclusive or special class setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and related service providers.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes each childβs developmental progress.
- Use evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and administration to ensure alignment of curriculum and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with state regulations.
- Communicate regularly with families, offering support, resources, and updates on student progress.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and program improvement efforts.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and CPSE processes

Qualifications:
- NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (BirthβGrade 2) or equivalent special education certification.
- Bachelorβs degree required; Masterβs degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged (3-5) children with disabilities strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, positive behavior supports, and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Education Level: Master's Degree
