Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings throughout the school year.
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Position includes weekly staff meetings, curriculum review and development on topics including child development, school readiness, goal setting, communication and best parenting practices, lesson planning, maintenance of records, and coordination of events and activities related to the program.
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Applicant must enjoy working with a diverse population, collaborating with program staff and be warm, patient and flexible.
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Educational background in family support, parenting education and a minimum of three years working with families required.
Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
Parent educator will work with parents of young children from underserved communities. Some of the lessons are pre-planned and others require facilitator to lead discussions. There are guest speakers from the community and local agencies.
Some experience working with underserved families expected. Background in social work, early childhood/adult education, nursing, psychology or related field required. Qualifications have some flexibility.
