Job Description: Would you like to teach in a warm and nurturing learning environment where teachers are supported and creativity is encouraged? ABC is currently hiring for a lead Pre-K teacher at the Graham School at Echo Park (1841 Park Avenue), in a Head Start classroom for children 3-5.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the teacher include:

  • Lesson planning, conducting assessment, and curriculum implementation
  • Maintaining a safe, organized learning environment
  • Maintaining accurate and timely classroom records/documentation

Qualifications:

Qualifications of the teacher:

  • NYS Early Childhood Education license (initial certification accepted) or enrolled in school on a study plan (dual certification for a Social Work Degree is a plus)
  • Experience working with children ages 3-5
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Being joyous with children and maintaining high standards, non-negotiable.
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education Level: NYS Teacher Certification
