Imagine Early Learning Centers seeks an Assistant Preschool Teacher at Imagine Early Learning Centers on the UES in NYC. Our center is a safe, nurturing, fun, collaborative and friendly environment.
We are seeking a candidate who is experienced with the NYC DOE 3K/4K program and has used Creative Curriculum and TSG. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 credits in early childhood education and is currently working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. We are looking for creative professionals looking to join a team to provide the highest quality, educational childcare for working families. Familiarity with NAEYC and Quality Stars NY is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and NAEYC guidelines
  • Effective communication with families, staff and board
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, pushing strollers/buggies, sitting on the floor and year-round daily outdoor activities

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, preferred or in progress
  • Previous experience teaching children in an Early Childhood program preferred
  • Previous experience with NAEYC standards and the accreditation process a plus
Minimum Education Level: Associate's Degree
Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
