Robotic S.T.E.A.M. provides innovative and exciting out-of-school programming for children ages 4 and up with a focus on robotics, science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We are geared towards awakening each childΓ’β¬β’s natural curiosity and giving them the opportunity to discover the magic, beauty, and fun of the S.T.E.A.M. subject areas. ΓΒ If you love robots, experiments, and playing with Legos then this is the position for you!
Instructors will conduct various activities with students to introduce them to fascinating STEAM subjects. Work collaboratively with other instructors to ensure all students have fun in a safe, learning environment. ΓΒ This is a great position for anyone with a background in education, childcare, art, and/or a STEM background.ΓΒ
- Lead small groups of students through provided curriculum or develop appropriate STEM curriculum;
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment;
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies;
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions;
- Participate in periodic training & staff meetings as required
- Experience and/or background inΓΒ Art, Science, Technology, Math, Engineering, Education, or highly relevant field
- Experience with Lego Spike,ΓΒ Mindstorm & WeDo preferred
- Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: Some College Credits

This is a flexible part-time position with multiple openings to fill afterschool, summer camp, and workshops
