Tolentine Zeiser Community Life Center is a community-based organization that contracted with the DOE to provide 3K and PreK.
The 3k teacher will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom environment that utilizes space, materials, routines, and guidance techniques to effectively facilitate physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of the children.ΓΒ
Γ’β¬Β’ Provide basic needs for children
Γ’β¬Β’ Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
Γ’β¬Β’ Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
Γ’β¬Β’ Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
Γ’β¬Β’ Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
Γ’β¬Β’ Track childrensΓ’β¬β’ progress and report to parents
Γ’β¬Β’ Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
Γ’β¬Β’ Help children reach developmental milestones
Γ’β¬Β’ Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans
Γ’β¬Β’ Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
Γ’β¬Β’ Provide appropriate supervision for children at all timesT
Γ’β¬Β’ Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
Γ’β¬Β’ Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
3K lead teacher Must have ONE of the following:ΓΒ
Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related fiel of study. This includes: (Birth-Grade 2), (Nursery-6), and (Prek-6) as well as children with disabilities (Birth-Grade 2)
Approved study Plan:
To be elegible for a study plan, a person must have:ΓΒ
An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
Study plans must be approved by an accredited college
A person who is study plan eligible ΓΒ must submit documentation indicating proof of enrollment in such college and specifying the time required for completion of training,
- Minimum Education Level: Associate's Degree
- Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
