Head Start of Eastern Orange County is a preschool program in the City of Newburgh that serves 3-5 year children from old low income families. We currently serve 144 kids in 8 full day classrooms. You can learn more about our program by visiting our website at www.hseoc.org.
This is a full time teaching position working with 2 assistant teachers teaching 3-5 year olds in a mixed-age full-day classroom. This position starts in mid-August and generally follows the Newburgh City School District calendar.     Â
Managing a class of 18 children. Planning developmentally appropriate activities using the HighScope curriculum framework. Collaborating with family advocates to provide a comprehensive program for our families. Â
You must have a minimum of a Bachelors and initial NYS early childhood teacher certification and be working towards your masters in education. Â
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Education Level: NYS Teacher Certification
