Description:

Immediate opening: Infant Classroom Teacher Assistant - support a nurturing and loving classroom environment that allows infants ages 6 weeks - 18 months to grow and explore the world around them. Plan developmentally appropriate activities, supervise play time, tummy time, fine and gross motor activities, sing, read, assist with meal times, diaper changes, classroom maintenance, record keeping and daily communication with parents.

Part time position to start: Monday - Friday 1pm - 6pm. Chance to advance to full time position.

Responsibilities:

Support the classroom staff in following a structured daily routine

Maintain supervision and proper child:adult ratios

Complete required paperwork/documentation

Keep classroom clean and organized throughout the day

Communicate with parents about their child's day

Assist with diapering

Supervise children during meal times

Set a positive example and act as a role model

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED

Preferred requirements: Minimum of one year experience working with children ages birth-5 yrs, certified in CPR/first aid, CDA for Infant/Toddler or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood field

Additional Information:

Employee must be fingerprinted, pass a background check and submit a current medical statement and TB test result

Employee will be required to wear mask while present at the center
