As the lead, you will lead classroom activities, and foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes growth and curiosity. Your expertise will help shape the foundational skills children need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule and available for up to 40 hours a week. We are open M-F 7:30-5:00.
Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring all children are engaged and supported in their individual growth and development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting child welfare concerns and collaborating with support staff when necessary.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childhood development best practices, classroom management techniques, and relevant regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications.
Experience
- Bachelor's in ECE or related field. If you have an associates in ECE you must have a plan to continue and receive your Bachelor's.
- Prior teaching experience working with young children in preschool or toddler care settings is essential.
- Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
- Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
