Little Builders is looking for a warm, reliable Daycare Assistant to join our team! In this role, youβll help create a safe, fun, and loving environment where young children can play, learn, and grow. Daily responsibilities include assisting with activities, supervising play, helping with meals and nap routines, as well as maintaining a clean and safe space . ResponsibilitiesΒ
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and learning outcomes
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized environment and encouraging positive behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Help with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Support staff in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR procedures
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), including pediatric first aid preferred
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with special education needs/ experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle behavior management techniques with patience and professionalism
- Experience in caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying is beneficial
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
- Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young learners
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
