Weβre looking for a caring, energetic Preschool Teacher to join our warm and welcoming team! We are a small, play-based daycare with five classrooms serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. One of the things that makes our center special is that everyone knows everyoneβour staff know all of our children and families, creating a close-knit, family-like environment.
Our ideal teacher is nurturing, creative, patient, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow through play, exploration, and meaningful connections.
- Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate, play-based activities that encourage learning and development.
- Support childrenβs social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their childβs day, development, and accomplishments.
- Observe children and help support their individual needs and interests.
- Follow daily routines, schedules, and center policies.
- Work cooperatively with other teachers and staff across all classrooms.
- Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, nap time, and other daily care needs.
- Maintain accurate classroom and child-related records as needed.
- Participate in center activities, events, and professional development.
- Help create the close-knit, family-like atmosphere that makes our center special.
Option 1
Associateβs degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
No additional experience required
Option 2
CDA or other OCFS-recognized preschool credential
1 year caring for children
Option 3
9 college credits + approved plan of study toward CDA, recognized credential, or Associateβs degree
2 years caring for children
- Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
- Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
