Organization Statement

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, guiding students in their academic and social development, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's unique needs.

Job Description

Duties

  • Provide high-quality teaching & learning in the classroom that leads to children's school readiness
  • Provide responsive care to all children through individualized planning, instruction & supervision
  • Plan & Establish an environment in which children develop trusting & accepting relationships with adults and peers that foster growth and development
  • Design & execute a developmentally appropriate and integrated curriculum which proves opportunities for children's meaningful exploration
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support students' behavioral health and academic success.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in subjects such as math, literacy, and social skills.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Support students in the classroom in lesson activities & other activities
  • Facilitate social emotional development, play & language
  • Support students with potty training & provide support with feeding
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate educational records and portfolios on each child.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.

Qualifications

Experience

Β 

  • Proven experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and strategies for managing diverse classroom behaviors is preferred.
  • Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and effective communication are required.
  • Experience utilizing learning technologies to enhance instruction is a plus.
  • Minimum Education Level: Associate's Degree
  • Preferred Education Level: PhD / EdD
