Our School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our team. The TA will assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and daily classroom activities for preschool age children. Support classroom management and help promote a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. Provide one on one or small group support to students who need additional assistance. Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment. Support children with daily routines, transitions, and social-emotional development. Comply with all NY State OCFS daycare regulations.
- Position Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teacher implementing curriculum and daily classroom activities.
- Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support childrenβs social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Adhere to all NYS OCFS regulations and requirements
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the classroom and the school
Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Β Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Strong communication skills with colleagues, parents, and students. Patience, compassion, and genuine interest in working with young children. Ability to follow directions and implement curriculum under the guidance of the lead teacher. Early childhood education coursework or experience is a plus.
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: Some College Credits
