Aunt Bessie's Open Door is a program created specifically with our students' needs in mind. We focus on important early childhood milestones, from independent learning skills to cognitive, physical, and emotional development, all in a warm, positive environment.
Coordinate with therapists and develop referrals, evaluations, assessments, observations, lesson plans, and organize for the annual CPSE meeting.
* Create a safe, warm, and supportive learning environment.
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
* Implement various teaching techniques and strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
* Maintain detailed records of students' goals and progress.
* Assist students with daily activities and routines.
* Coordinate with the program specialists and external therapists.
* Monitor and assess students' progress and adjust strategies based on each student's individual needs
The candidate can have an MEd in Early Childhood Special Education or be registered at a university pursuing a master's degree.
- Minimum Education Level: Some College Credits
- Preferred Education Level: Master's Degree
