The Robin's Nest is a childcare center located in Sleepy Hollow, New York that believes children learn best in a homelike environment. We strive to create an atmosphere of safety where children are given opportunities to explore and create while learning how to communicate and interact with adults and other children.

We offer different age groups where each function independently while interacting with others. We create routines which are age appropriate and responsive to individual needs. Our programs are designed to include every child regardless of special needs or disability to help them learn and grow.

The Robin's Nest includes both planned activities and spontaneous learning which is centered around the children's interests and abilities. Our daily plans include art, language, math, science, music and movement to create fun and variety. We provide regular snacks and meals along with a rest period. Children are exposed to both indoor and outdoor play. We provide flexibility in our routines both as a group and as individuals to meet the needs of every child within our learning center family.

All of our activities and routines are designed to create a positive self-image for the children while helping them learn how to develop inner controls and cooperation with others. Our goal with every child is to promote their physical and emotional health while creating a positive and safe learning environment as they develop their abilities to care for themselves and interact with the world around them.

The Robin’s Nest in Sleepy Hollow, NY is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As a parent, you can feel confident in sending your child to our child care center, knowing our staff is trained and capable of providing the exceptional quality of care you expect.

Becoming NAEYC accredited is a rigorous process, which is voluntary. It demonstrates that the child care center consistently meets national standards of excellence. Being NAEYC accredited shows our commitment to providing exceptional care and programs for your child. Accreditation lasts for five years, at which time the evaluation process begins again for re-accreditation.

The Phelps Child Care Center is looking for applicants who are passionate about early childhood, creative, energetic, nurturing and work well with adults and children. The candidate will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. They will demonstrate good judgment in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. They will verbally engage the infants throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. They will maintain the feeding schedule with the bottles and solids provided by the parents.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A DEGREE IN ECE OR A RELATED FIELD AND EXPERIENCE IN A CLASSROOM ENVIORNMENT WORKING WITH INFANTS.
