Heart 2 Heart Child Care Center is seeking a caring, creative, and dependable Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 18 months to 3 years.
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support children’s development.
- Teach and engage children through hands-on learning, play, and exploration.
- Support social-emotional growth through positive interactions, guidance, and encouragement.
- Observe and assess children’s progress while communicating with families.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with children, families, and team members.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to build relationships with young children.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to create fun, engaging activities that support different learning styles.
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage classroom materials effectively.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for toddlers.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Create fun and interactive learning experiences through play, exploration, art, music, and movement.
- Supervise children while maintaining proper safety and classroom routines.
- Support children with daily care needs, including meals, diapering/toileting, and nap routines.
- Observe and document children’s progress and communicate updates with families.
- Encourage positive behavior through guidance, patience, and consistent support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and staff to provide quality care and education.
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
- Experience working with children ages 18 months to 3 years preferred.
- Must be caring, patient, dependable, and passionate about early childhood education.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Ability to create engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Strong communication skills with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a classroom setting.
- Must meet state childcare licensing requirements, including required training and background checks.
- Ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for young children.
- Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
- Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
