Jericho STEM Academy is an OCFS-licensed preschool program that provides a nurturing environment designed for children from 6 weeks old to pre-K. Our goal is to prepare children for success in all aspects of their lives. Our STEM curriculum is aligned with New York State standards and designed to ensure your child thrives academically and socially.
- Develop a thoughtful and creative lesson plan suitable for all children. - Utilize a variety of educational techniques (such as storytelling, educational play) to enhance children's learning.
- Observe each child to help improve their social skills and build self-esteem.
- Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, or colors, and engaging in crafts / STEM).
- Organize and supervise children to ensure their safety at all times.
- Monitor children's progress and communicate findings to parents.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Keep the classroom clean and organized in accordance with health and safety standards.

- High School Diploma with CDA certification in Preschool
- OR Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
- OR Elementary Education
- OR a minimum of 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential (with credit-bearing certificate)
- Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
