Job Description

Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our growing bilingual (Mandarin-English) early childhood program in Syosset, NY. The Lead Teacher will create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.

 

Working alongside a Mandarin-speaking co-teacher, you will help implement a child-centered curriculum that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development while fostering kindness, respect, and character growth.

Responsibilities

● To follow Tzu Chi Bilingual/Character Education curriculum and design lesson plans and activities for preschool children.

● To always follow OCFS regulations

● To monitor and supervise children at all times indoors and outdoors.

● To maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

● To be responsible for the classroom appearance and setting for a better learning environment.

● To work collaboratively with a Bilingual Teacher to implement Tzu Chi Bilingual/Character Education and Humanity Program.

● To be aware of the health and safety guidelines in the classroom.

● To perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Salary based on education and experiences. 

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA.
  • Experience teaching preschool-aged children.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Classroom management and communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
  • Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
