Fairytale Daycare Inc. (doing business as Fairytale Schools Inc.) is a legally incorporated private childcare and preschool enterprise operating within the State of New York. The corporation holds ultimate financial, legal, and operational responsibility for the facility.
Ultimate administrative and corporate governance is maintained by the executive ownership, which oversees high-level business strategy, labor compliance, financial health, and long-term regulatory standing with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you’ll be the heart of our classroom. Your mission is to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children (ages 3–5) can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. You’ll lead the way in planning daily activities and building strong relationships with both kids and their parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design: Plan and lead age-appropriate lessons that spark curiosity (think art, music, storytelling, and early math).
- Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, positive environment where kids feel safe and excited to learn.
- Safety & Care: Supervise all children closely to ensure their physical and emotional well-being at all times.
- Parent Partnership: Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and daily wins.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor assistant teachers to ensure the classroom runs like a well-oiled machine.
Qualifications
REQUIRED: Lead Teacher must have a master's degree in ECE or equivalent and  MUST HAVE NY Teacher Certification Birth-2 (specifically).
Please do not apply if you do not have the NY Teacher Certification in ECC Birth-2 credential. This position follows the DOE curriculum.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children in early childhood education environments such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields preferred; prior preschool or private school experience is advantageous. (90 Credits Min.)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (Preferred)
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Minimum Education Level: NYS Teacher Certification
- Preferred Education Level: Master's Degree
