Milestones to Mountains Day Care is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to support our classroom communities. Working closely under the guidance of our Lead Teachers and our OT/SLP ownership team, you will help create a safe, engaging, and language-rich environment where young children can safely explore, learn, and grow from "milestones to mountains."
- Classroom Support: Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily routines, activities, and transitions, ensuring a smooth and positive flow to the day.
- Child Engagement: Actively engage with children during play, centers, and outdoor time, facilitating positive social interactions and language development.
- Safety & Care: Supervise children closely to ensure physical safety; assist with daily care routines such as meals, handwashing, and diapering/toileting.
- Environment Upkeep: Help maintain a clean, organized, and organized learning environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and implement regulatory or sensory strategies recommended by our leadership team.
- High school diploma or equivalent (credits in Early Childhood Education or CDA a major plus).
- Experience working with young children in a group setting (daycare, camp, or preschool).
- Patience, warmth, and a strong desire to learn about pediatric development and inclusive practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
