Job Overview
As a Lead Teacher at Milestones to Mountains Day Care, you will design and implement a joyful, play-based curriculum infused with expert developmental insights. You will collaborate directly with pediatric specialists to support the cognitive, social-emotional, language, and motor milestones of every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Instruction: Plan and execute a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that accommodates diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, nurturing, structured, and visually supportive classroom environment that fosters independence and emotional regulation.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor Teacher Assistants and Substitutes within your classroom to ensure consistency and a high standard of care.
- Family Partnership: Maintain open, professional communication with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and milestones.
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience leading a classroom in a licensed childcare facility.
- Strong understanding of early childhood milestones and a passion for inclusive education.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum Education Level: Some College Credits
- Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
