TorahLovingCare (TLC) is a New York State licensed, nonprofit, Orthodox Jewish child care center in Brighton. We offer care to children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. At TLC, each childβs unique social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development is nurtured in a fun, loving, safe, creative learning environment. Our work atmosphere is warm, collaborative, and upbeat. Teachers have the support of the Administrative team and are valued and appreciated.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ο· Plan, implement, and supervise a preschool classroom while remaining consistent with our child care policies, philosophy, and curriculum.
ο· Keep the classroom in compliance with all NYS Regulations.
ο· Maintain required documentation as required by NYS Regulations.
ο· Supervision of 1 assistant teacher.
ο· Maintain the ordered arrangement, appearance, dΓ©cor and learning environment of the classroom.
ο· Attend staff meetings and required training programs.
Hours: 8:15am-3:15pm Mon-Thurs; 8:15am-1:15pm on Fridays.
Additional Wrap Around hours (7:45am-8:30am & 3:15-4:30pm) may be available.
School Year: 10 months (Sept-June). Additional summer hours may be available.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to move about the classroom and other areas quickly and easily. In order to allow for physical and visual contact with the children on their level, squatting and frequent sitting on the floor are required. In addition to being able to lift and carry children (up to 40lbs) if necessary, must have the energy and physical fitness to keep up with a classroom of our adorable, active children.

QUALIFICATIONS
>> An Associateβs degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field.
or
>> A Child Development Associate Credential or other Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period, and at least one year of experience related to caring for children.
or
>> 9 College credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field, with a plan of study leading to at least one of the following: o Child Development Associate Credential o Other Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period o Associateβs Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field and two years of experience related to caring for children.
- Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
- Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
