Compensation:Β $16 - $21 per hour (based on role, education, and experience)

About the Opportunity
YWCA NENYβs Early Learning Center is growing, and we are hiring both Assistant Teachers and Lead Teachers for our Infant and Toddler classrooms.
Whether youβre beginning your early childhood career or bringing years of classroom experience, you'll help create a warm, engaging, and safe environment where children can learn, play, and reach important milestones.
What You'll Do
- Support and create engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Observe and document childrenβs development and progress
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Lead or support classroom routines, planning, and daily activities based on role responsibilities
What You Bring
Assistant Teacher Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Childcare experience preferred
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
Lead Teacher Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience leading or working in an early childhood classroom setting
For Both Roles:
- A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow
- Ability to engage in active play and lift up to 25 lbs. when needed
- All role required checks
