A small early childhood center providing Department of Education 3-K and Pre-K services.
The lead teacher will be planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. The 3-K Lead Teacher will be collaborative with a team-oriented mind set.
· Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and Creative Curriculum aligned weekly unit plans and daily lesson plans.
· Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
· Collaboratively work with Assistant Teachers.
· Partner with parents to promote understanding of growth and development of their child; effectively communicate with parents, verbally and in writing, throughout the year.
· Maintain accurate record keeping including scholar attendance, developmental progress, daily health inspections.
· Maintain an organized classroom and take responsibility for the upkeep of the classroom's educational equipment, materials, and appearance.
· Bachelor’s (Required) Early Childhood Education (or similar)
· NYS Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or
· A Study Plan with a commitment to obtain NY State Early Childhood teacher certification within seven years of employment.
