Job Description
- This position is for a closer. Set hours are 9am-5:30pm
- cover lunch breaks and planning time for teachers
- help the teacher with projects
- help with diapering and potty-training
- communicate with parents
- help with cleaning the classroom, hallways, and bathrooms
- help shut down the classroom by cleaning toys, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support children with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and bathroom breaks, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, supporting inclusive learning environments
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Observe and document children's progress, communicating updates to teachers and parents as needed
- Support the overall well-being of children by providing nurturing care, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience of at least 1 year working with children in settings such as daycare or preschool.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting children's growth.
- Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
- Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
