Small Wonder Preschool is a NYSED approved 4410 special education program serving children between the ages of 3-5 years with special needs. We provide IEP education as well as early childhood programs consistent with the NYC DOE early childhood curriculum. Music, art, dance and movement are supplemental educational supports. Our behavior support specialists work in the classroom and provide guidance for student success. Family engagement is key to the success of our program with monthly workshops for families.
Work with special education classroom teacher in implementing the students IEP. Provide overall classroom support with daily lessons, uploading data to Creative Curriculum, and student engagement. Provide student support with diapering, meals, and prepping for learning materials. Classroom environment set up to support learning. Must have NYS teaching certification level 1 or eligible. Excellent work environment.
