Organization Statement

The Baby Signsยฎ Program is a research-based early intervention and communication program designed by child development experts to help babies communicate before they can talk. For over 30 years, Baby Signsยฎ has been used by families, early childhood educators, and healthcare professionals to support language development, reduce frustration, and strengthen bonds between children and caregivers. We provide evidence-based curricula, training, and professional development tools for those working with infants and toddlers in homes, classrooms, and community settings.

Job Description

The Baby Signsยฎ Program is seeking passionate early childhood educators, speech-language pathologists, early interventionists, and other child development professionals to join our network of Independent Certified Instructors (ICIs).

As a Baby Signsยฎ Independent Certified Instructor, youโ€™ll receive comprehensive training and support to teach:

  • Parent workshops
  • Professional workshops
  • Infant/toddler play classes
  • Early childhood educator training
  • Additional enrichment classes for families with children birthโ€“5

Responsibilities
  • Teach parent workshops, play classes, and professional trainings
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons using provided Baby Signsยฎ curriculum
  • Promote classes through local outreach and marketing
  • Support families and caregivers in using signs at home
  • Manage class logistics and communication as an independent contractor
Qualifications
  • Background in early childhood education, child development, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, parent education, sign language or related field
  • Passion for supporting families with infants and toddlers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
  • Preferred Education Level: Some College Credits
