Job Description

As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the early educational experiences of young children. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment to facilitate their development and learning.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans utilizing a research based curriculum.
- Provide literacy education through storytelling, reading, and language activities
- Supervise and interact with toddler and preschool-aged children in a safe and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress to adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Engage in curriculum development and enhancement activities
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles

- Support cleanliness protocols as outlined by the DOH.

Qualifications

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education OR

-Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a preschool program OR

- A proposed plan for meeting the above requirements within seven years with a minimum of 12 early childhood credits already completed. (Associate's degrees in Early Childhood Education may be considered.)

-State certification in early childhood education preferred

- Previous experience working with preschool or childcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues

- Greek speaking is preferred

  • Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
