N&E Little Angels in Hempstead, NY is looking for one childcare worker to join our team ASAP. Our ideal candidate is looking for a long-term career who can serve in provider’s absence. Individual reliable and love children.
Job Description
- Consistently adhere to NYS Group Family Child Day Care Regulations (all trainings)
- Pass a background check and get fingerprinted.
- OCFS Medical Statement signed by doctor, prior to start of employment.
- Reliability and punctual leaving near Hempstead area or can travel to Hempstead by start time.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor, and participate in children's indoor and outdoor activities.
- Follow a consistent daily routine.
- Change diapers, assist with toilet training.
- Prepare & serve meals for mealtime.
- Feed infants
- Keep records of children's progress, routines and interests and relay needed information to parents.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with adults and children
- Ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to obtain CPR & MAT certification.
- At least 1 year experience caring for 3-8 children ages 6 weeks-12 years old.
- Degree/training/certification in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education preferred.
