Description:

  • Consistently adhere to NYS Group Family Child Day Care Regulations (all trainings)
  • Pass a background check and get fingerprinted.
  • OCFS Medical Statement signed by doctor, prior to start of employment.
  • Reliability and punctual leaving near Hempstead area or can travel to Hempstead by start time.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, monitor, and participate in children's indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Follow a consistent daily routine.
  • Change diapers, assist with toilet training.
  • Prepare & serve meals for mealtime.
  • Feed infants
  • Keep records of children's progress, routines and interests and relay needed information to parents.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with adults and children
  • Ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to obtain CPR & MAT certification.
  •  At least 1 year experience caring for 3-8 children ages 6 weeks-12 years old.
  • Degree/training/certification in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education preferred.
