We are currently looking to hire a nurturing, calm, joyful, collaborative, and enthusiastic full-time assistant teacher. We have a constructivist approach to pedagogy and implement emergent curriculum. We are looking for a teacher who views themself as a researcher and co-learner alongside children.
As a school, we focus on play, community, wonder, and the joy of nature. As a micro school, we have only 12 children of mixed ages (2-3) present daily, with a 4:1 student to teacher ratio.
Knowledge of play-based learning and developmentally-appropriate practice are a must; background in the Reggio Emilia approach highly preferred.
Experience working with young children required.
