Kidz Korner Guilderland is looking for a full time lead toddler teacher who enjoys being with 10 two year olds in a room with either a co-lead teacher or an assistant.

Responsibilities:

The lead toddler teacher is responsible for the daily care of ten toddlers with either another co-lead or an assistant. You are responsible for all aspects of running a safe, clean and happy environment full of loud, crying, laughing, giggling toddlers. You must know how to remain calm, collected and reasonable and radiate joy and love. The lead toddler teacher will compose, prepare and execute weekly lesson plans based on a different theme each week. Lesson plans will target not only the children's needs, but also inspire their creativity, spark their curiosity, and promote independence, self-help skills, excitement for learning and beginning potty training. The lead toddler teacher will also be responsible for a clean & sanitized, organized, developmentally appropriate classroom. You must be an active educator and expect to be on the floor and at the table with the children.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have proof of either a valid Infant/Toddler CDA or a college degree in Early Childhood Education (or a closely related field) or at least 9 credit hours with plans to finish the degree. You must have a sense of humor, ability to go with the flow and know how to have fun with toddlers and fellow staff. Must be allergic to gossip, negativity and tardiness. You must be able to lift, squat, sit on the floor, engage with children and staff and follow all NYS regulations. The lead toddler teacher should be able to maintain the cleanliness of the classroom at all times, and must be able to play with toddlers at their level while promoting safety and kindness. Must be able to keep track of and report all food eaten, all toileting times and needed supplies through both in person and online communication (through the HiMama app which for which you will be trained). The lead teacher must be friendly, kind and thorough. Must be able to drive in the snow.
