Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Head Start Performance Standards and the Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
Observe, assess, and document children's progress; use data to inform instruction.
Collaborate with parents and families to support children's development and learning.
Supervise and mentor teacher assistants and volunteers.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including health and safety protocols.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with at least 12 credits in Early Childhood Education.
Minimum of one year of experience teaching young children in an accredited/licensed early childhood program.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with New York State Certification.
Experience with Head Start or similar early childhood education programs.
Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
