Assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of young children.
Support lead teacher in:
1. Support Social and Emotional Development
Helps children learn how to share, take turns, and interact with peers.
Guides them through managing emotions, expressing themselves, and developing empathy.
Creates a warm, encouraging classroom where children feel safe and valued.
Designs fun, age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play (e.g., building with blocks, pretend play, art).
Encourages curiosity and imagination, helping children explore the world around them.
Uses songs, stories, and games to teach early concepts in a playful way.
Teaches foundational skills like recognizing letters, numbers, shapes, and colors.
Encourages language development through storytelling, conversation, and songs.
Builds early math and literacy skills using hands-on, interactive activities.
Plans activities to strengthen fine motor skills (e.g., cutting with scissors, drawing, threading beads).
Encourages gross motor activities like dancing, climbing, and running during outdoor play or gym time.
Follows a consistent daily schedule with time for learning, meals, naps, and play.
Helps children transition between activities smoothly, providing structure and predictability.
Assistants are required to have a high school diploma and some experience working with children
