Description:

Infant Lead Teachers are responsible for the safety and learning of up to 8 infants between the ages of 4 months to 12 months. You will work alongside assistant teachers to create and maintain an engaging learning environment, plan and execute thoughtful age appropriate activities, ensure DOH compliance, and maintain parent communication. Our school is dedicated to the growth of educators and regular professional development and training will also be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with other teachers to implement lessons aligned with Discovery PitStop Curriculum
  • Manage classrooms of up to 8 children
  • Adhere to daily schedules complying with DOH regulations
  • Meet regularly with other staff to enhance lessons
  • Engage in regularly scheduled professional development sessions
  • Maintain communication with parents

Qualifications:

  • CDA, BA, or MS in Early Childhood Education or Education related field
  • 2-5 years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education is preferred
  • Knowledge of current teaching philosophies and educational research
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements of working with young children, including lifting, walking up and down stairs, and sitting on the floor
  • Must be articulate and possess strong written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate to create and implement lessons
Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
