Description:

Our Classroom in School 12 (Troy, NY) is seeking a Universal Pre-K Teacher that will:

 

  • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children, meeting UPK School District requirements (including Common Core Standards).
  • Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.
  • Build relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the program.
  • Work collaboratively with teacher assistants and service providers

 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • A New York State certification in Pre-Kindergarten (General Ed. Or Special Ed) or ability to obtain NYS certification through a plan of study
  • Experience teaching preschool-age children
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for Visa Sponsorship.
