Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Toddler Group Teacher at Diki Discovery Center located in Queens, NY. As a Toddler Group Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers, designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, and facilitating educational activities and playtime. You will also collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of the children.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and assisting in Infant/Toddler group(s) of children ages 0-24 months.
  • Developing and assisting in curriculum & lesson planning
  • Meeting with parents to discuss child development and/or observations
  • Referring children to special needs evaluations
  • Assisting in staff meetings and training

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a daycare or educational setting
  • Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with toddlers
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Certification in Early Childhood Education is preferred
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to pass background checks

Qualifications:

· Must be working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education

· Completed BA in Early Childhood is a plus

· Must have at least 1 year of experience working with Infant and Toddlers

*Full time- committed position. Salary will be determined based upon experience*

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Minimum Education Level: Associate's Degree
Preferred Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
