Our mission is to provide “a chance in life” to marginalized and at-risk young people around the world, empowering them through our unique approach of Positive Youth Development. We are committed to creating lasting changes in the lives of children and their communities to break the cycle of poverty.

Children's Aid-Goodhue Center is a community center located in the New Brighton Section of Staten Island. It has been providing services to the community for over 100 years. The Center provides afterschool, summer day camp, recreational, educational, preventive services and Go-Healthy food programs to children and families.
Girls on the Run NYC is a nonprofit organization designed to enhance participants' social, emotional and physical skills to successfully navigate life experiences. Our fun, interactive lessons meet the unique needs of participants of all abilities and backgrounds. We offer a fall and spring season meeting for 10 weeks, twice a week, 20 lessons in total. We end the season with a citywide 5K event at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.

The Urban Park Rangers are your ambassadors to the natural world. Urban Park Rangers welcome school children through The Natural Classroom. This program is an inquiry-based hands-on program that encourages educators to bring students to parks to explore the natural world with the Rangers. With guidance from the Rangers, teens in Rangers Conservation Corps (RCC) restore natural habitats, reintroduce native species, and monitor and protect endangered plants and animals.

The mission of the Pride Center of Staten Island is to enhance and sustain the well-being of the LGBTQ+ and allied communities by providing programs and services that cultivate community; advocate for LGBTQ+ interests; educate and empower, and provide social support.

Snug Harbor's Spring Break and Summer Break youth programs offer a hands-on experience learning about the outdoors and unique spaces like the campus wetlands, Heritage Farm, and New York Chinese Scholar's Garden.The NYC Compost Project at Snug Harbor offers compost-related workshops and classes, runs the Master Composter Certificate Program, provides technical composting support, distributes DSNY compost & mulch, develops urban farms, and tables at public events throughout all five boroughs. The NYC Compost Project also operates neighborhood-based food scrap drop-off opportunities and ensures that those food scraps are composted locally. UAU’s Cornerstone Community Centers provide an array of activities and services from academic support and leadership development to recreation and physical activity to civic engagement and cultural exploration that enrich and enhance the lives of individuals, families, and communities. UAU’s Cornerstone Community Centers serve as gateways to holistic services that tap into the strengths and talents of individuals and the community and support the growth and development of individuals and communities.
