Supporting Children on the Autism Spectrum - 15 Hour Series

This 15-hour series, multi-session series will cover the basics of childcare providers working with children who have been diagnosed on the spectrum of autism. This will include, 1. Identifying the common characteristics of autism 2. Understanding why Autism is a spectrum disorder 3. Understanding what services are available to children with Autism including the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) 4. Learning strategies that providers can implement into the childcare environment This series will also address how to support families of children diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum.
