Education:
An Associates Degree or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with experience working with families and young children.
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
Work Location: In person: drive through Staten Island
- Must be able to travel to the providers' homes in SI. Must have reliable transportation or an alternate plan.
- Must be able to travel to the homes of the assigned providers
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team in supporting affiliated family childcare programs and families
- Meet with families to evaluate needs, set goals, and complete UFCCN family partnership agreements
- Track the progress of goals set with UFCCN families and support their progress
- Work as a liaison to communicate between network staff, affiliated providers, and families
- Assist educational staff with developing and delivering family engagement activities, workshops, and meetings
- Provide referrals and resources for UFCCN families
- Assist with the recruitment of potential UFCCN families and children
- Maintain documentation on families as required by the Department of Education and UFCCN
- Other duties as requested by Network and Educational Directors to fulfill job responsibilities
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Have or working toward an AA/AS degree or CDA credential
- Two to three years of experience working with families of young children
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Flexible and works well independently
- Must meet all applicable federal, state and city requirements to work with children in an early childhood setting
Minimum Education Level: CDA Credential
Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
