Responsibilities:

Keep up with required trainings and professional development and act in accordance with the philosophy of the school as described in school literature. Great opportunity to come on board and join our learning community!

  • Manage a class of 10 - three-year-olds using routines, clear expectations, and positive behavior strategies-while avoiding the use of punishments, time-outs, yelling, and rewards.
  • We especially encourage applications from candidates with the knowledge and ability to implement a Jewish curriculum including teaching about Shabbat and Jewish holidays along with related songs, stories, cooking activities, crafts, and experiential activities;
    We will consider candidates with a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
  • Communicate clearly with the director, assistant teacher, colleagues, and parents.
  • Weekly newsletter.
  • Parent Orientation.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Qualifications:

  • NYS Certification or be working towards it, on a study plan.

  • Masters degree in Education or working towards it, preferred.

Willing to consider candidates who are working towards their Masters and Certification (on a study plan) with relevant experience

  • 2+years of head-teaching experience in a preschool strongly preferred.

  • Writing proficiency is required.

Additional Information:

Must be available to teach from 8-1 with one day until 2 pm for a team meeting, faculty meetings once/month until 3:30, and some additional work outside of those hours for parent/teacher conferences, writing a weekly newsletter, and general prep.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
