Morningside PlayCare cultivates the language genius, open mindedness, and wonder-filled hearts of young children. We do this by providing nurturing care, as we immerse children in the Mandarin and Spanish languages through play, authentic creative activities, Yoga and exploration of Nature.
You will have the opportunity to work with a small class of children in a private school dedicated to diversity and multilingualism. You will teach them your language while their brains are young and easily wired for bilingualism. You must be a native Spanish speaker with experience teaching young children. We are a well established private school and a leader in the early childhood language immersion field.
In addition to language immersion, our curriculum includes an emphasis on Nature Exploration, Yoga, and Art. We are looking for creative individual who is enthusiastic about sharing her language and culture with young children. You will have an opportunity to grow in your career. We need someone who can start soon. Our beautiful facility and friendly community of professionals is looking for a talented teacher who loves children and growing as a professional. Salary range is based upon experience, skill, and credentials.
Only candidates with at least 3 years classroom experience will be considered.
- Teach and care for young children in a play-based classroom setting.
- Only speak to the children in Spanish
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Work collaboratively with the other teacher in your classroom and other school staff
- Develop yourself professionally
- Keep children safe and contribute to school safety, follow health and safety protocols
- Maintain a vibrant and attractive classroom consistent with school’s curriculum and mission
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Support the mission of the school
- Carry out responsibilities as assigned by the director
- Are you fluent in Spanish? Do you have at least 3 years classroom experience caring for children ages 1 - 5? Are you great with young children? Are you creative? Do you have the confidence and skills (even though you may not have the credentials) to be a lead teacher? Do you want to work in a place where your talent, skills, hard work is appreciated?
