In April, the Slate School launched its Education Idea Lab, a virtual event series that features leaders and participants from all sectors of education and innovation. The series is open to the public and is scheduled through May 31, 2020. The Institute’s Executive Director, Sherry Cleary, participated in a panel entitled “A Deep Dive into Learner-Centered Education.”  Sherry and colleagues shared their thoughts and knowledge in response to questions including:

  • How to know if a learner-centered environment is actually learner-centered
  • The emerging characteristics from learners in learner-centered classrooms compared to those in teacher-centered classrooms
  • How to make adult professional learning more learning-centered
