Crystallee Constant receives Nancy Klinger Memorial Scholarship
The Early Childhood Career Development Center at the New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute is pleased to award the Nancy Klinger Memorial Scholarship to Crystallee Constant!
Crystallee is enrolled in the Children’s Program Administrator Credential (CPAC) program at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Here’s what she has to say about her experience in the program:
Working in any organization can feel difficult to navigate when there are limited resources or support to guide us. Working in early childhood education and feeling responsible for the impact I make on young children and the partnerships and relationships I develop with families, I wanted to learn more to be a better leader.
The courses in the Children’s Program Administrator Credential program have placed me on an incredible journey of learning. The program has given me insight, tools, and deeper understanding about so many things I can apply in my organization — from marketing, funding, staffing and communicating effectively, to how to use the Core Body of Knowledge to guide my decisions.
What is great about the CPAC is that there are aspects of what we learn that overlap with building great leadership for any organization. But the information is refined and focused so I know how to apply it to run early childhood programs more efficiently and successfully.
I love sharing what I have learned with others I know that run early childhood programs because I know what it is to feel lost or uncertain, and I believe the CPAC program really helps. I am appreciative of what I have learned and I hope it shows in the services and programs I direct in my community.
