Job Description

As a team leader, the Infant teacher is responsible for curriculum implementation, the overall supervision and management of a safe, developmentally appropriate infant/toddler classroom, parent involvement, and ensuring compliance with city and state regulatory agencies. Candidates must be extremely NURTURING, motivated, passionate, and capable of multi-tasking. Must have a positive attitude and able to interact with families, staff and children.Β 

Responsibilities
  • Meeting the individual needs of the children
  • Participation in staff and training meetingsΒ 
  • Arrange rooms and furniture to support the development of the children in the classroom
  • Understanding of child development and age appropriate activitiesΒ 
  • Knowledge of teaching strategiesΒ Gold Assessment
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum for Infant & Toddlers
  • Implementation of activities that develop self-esteem and social skillsΒ 
  • Develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with common core standards
  • Develop developmentally appropriate lesson
  • Computer literate- ability to input and submit observations into Teaching Strategies GOLD
  • Parent and Teacher Conferences three times per year
  • Knowledge of ITERS
  • Able to individualize instruction
Qualifications
  • AA in Early Childhood Education or CDA working towards a degree in Early childhood
  • Working experience with children 3months to 3 years of age
  • Fingerprints by DOI and DOE (PETS)
  • State Clearance SCR
  • Current Physical Exam/Immunization
